The NFL announced that Timberlake is set to perform in Super Bowl LII’s halftime show on Feb. 4 in Minneapolis.

The last time he performed the halftime stage was at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004 when he ripped away part of Janet Jackson’s costume, exposing one of her breasts to over 140 million viewers.

Jackson’s spokesman said it was a costume reveal gone wrong.

Timberlake apologized and said it was “not intentional and is regrettable” Jackson suffered criticism about it for years.

The Federal Communication Commission hit CBS, which broadcast the 2004 halftime show, with a $550,000 fine. However, the Supreme Court later tossed it out.

In the aftermath of the incident, broadcasters introduced a short video delay for live events. Super Bowl LII will air on NBC.

It will be Timberlake’s third time performing at the game. He previously appeared at Super Bowl XXXV in 2001 with his band *NSYNC.
