The news just keeps getting better and better for “Wonder Woman” and its director, Patty Jenkins. Any minute now, if it hasn’t already, it should surpass the $609.8 million earned by “Mamma Mia!” back in 2008.
And when that happens, it will become the highest-grossing live-action movie directed by a woman . . . EVER.
The overall record is still held by the ANIMATED flick “Kung Fu Panda 2”, which made $665.7 million. But “Wonder Woman” has a legit shot at surpassing that, too. It crossed the $600 million mark in worldwide box office on Wednesday.

The Bill Cosby judge declared a mistrial on Saturday, because the jury couldn’t reach a verdict after 52 hours of deliberation. But he added, “I remind everyone that this is not vindication or victory.”
Cosby is STILL charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault, over a 2004 encounter with Andrea Constand. And prosecutors say they WILL retry him. There’s no word when, and Cosby is free on bail until then.

Jada Pinkett Smith isn’t a fan of the new TUPAC movie “All Eyez on Me”. She was friends with him, and in the movie she’s being played by Kat Graham from “The Vampire Diaries”.
Jada Tweeted, “Forgive me . . . my relationship to Pac is too precious to me for the scenes in All Eyez on Me to stand as truth . . . The reimagining of my relationship to Pac has been deeply hurtful.”

The man who helped present the award was another trailblazer, the nation’s first black president, Barack Obama.
Obama gave his speech in a prerecorded video, and Jay Z tweeted about it later.
(E! reported the rapper was not able to attend the awards gala in New York City.)
In the video, Obama called Jay “a true American original.”
“I like to think Mr. Carter and I understand each other,” Obama said. “Nobody who met us when we were younger men would have expected us to be where we are today.”

Chance The Rapper is helping the charity Chicago Beyond launch a $2 million “innovation challenge.”They are accepting 90-second video submissions from all over the country in hopes of getting great ideas to help support the young people of Chicago.
In the announcement on Facebook Live, Chance said, “Submit the ideas. We’d love to fund them as long as they positively impact the City of Chicago . . . It’s fully your project . . . we just want to fund it.”
The deadline is July 7th, three weeks from now.

America’s Got Talent contestant, Dr. Brandon Rogers, passed away in a car crash. He was 29 years old. According to multiple media reports, the he was rushed to a hospital, where he passed away on Sunday morning.
Rogers graduated medical school in 2015, and family and friends say he was dedicated to his work, but in his spare time, he continued to make time for his first love, which would eventually land him on NAGT this summer: singing.

Pharrell just made a little kid’s dream come true by getting him a ride to his concert and serenading him with the song “Happy” onstage.
Eight-year-old Reef Carneson suffers from acute lymphoblastic leukemia and has been in the hospital since he turned one. He’s a huge Pharrell fan and dreamed of meeting him someday.
Pharrell invited Reef to his Saturday night show in Philadelphia. However, Reef’s immune system is too weak for air travel, so Pharrell hired a private car to drive him all the way from Cincinnati.
